I went for a job interview this morning and a couple of hours later I was notified that I had the job! I am so unbelievably happy right now! I will be commuting for only 30 minutes now.
My last day at my current job is Friday. I'm saddened over this. I work with a great bunch of people here at the shop but the commute is crazy. I made sure that I told my new employers that I wasn't leaving here because I disliked my job or the people. I like my job and I love my co-workers but the drive was just TOO much. Everyone I have talked to said that they don't blame me for leaving and everyone completely understands. I have gotten well wishes from all.
Thankfuls:
1. I am thankful for my new job.
2. I am thankful for my new SHORT commute.
3. I am thankful that I will have more spare time.

I'm so happy for you!! You are going to love the time you have reclaimed. Also you can always have lunch with your old co-workers or meet up for drinks after work. No biggie. That's great that they hold no ill feelings!!! Also, you've given me new hope too!! LOL

Congrats!!! Short commutes are a GOOD thing.... I went from an hour (or more with traffic) to 15 minutes (sometimes more with traffic, but still much better)! What will you be doing?
