Well I have been chosen to pass on the Pay It Forward Crafting that has been floating around the blog world. Mrs. Amy from Knit and Fall back in it chose me from her random number generator :) I'm so excited to participate in this I now have to figure out what I will be making for my participants!
I have seen this floating around since the late part of last year only at the time I did not have the knitting time to participate due to Christmas knitting--thank goodness it is only January. Here are the rules I borrowed from Marianne's Knotminding :
“It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months)(or in my case, 9 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
I will now Pay It Forward to you THREE, I wonder who you will be?! Please, be a PIF! You will enjoy it just as much as we do!”
And, remember…you have 6 months (or 9 months, to be 'fair') to get your gifts done!
Also, you don’t have to knit or crochet to participate, anyone who can make a nice handmade gift is welcome to join.
Any takers?
The funny part about this is that I have never seen the movie this exchange is based upon, but I would love to be able to Pay it Forward as it says. The only thing I will be changing as far as the rules is that if I have more than three people comment then I will do a random drawing of names if only three comment then I will choose those three naturally. You have until Friday to post then I will select and post winners on Monday. So come on lets do something nice for others. Make sure you tell all of your friends too!! And to my lurkers out there -- I know you read here don't be shy!
My gift will most likely be something knitted!
3 Thankfuls:
1. I am thankful for the visit Al Capone made to work today.
2. I am thankful for sweet tea.
3. I am thankful for sunny days.
